What We Do

EDUCATION 📘

Education is at the heart of our work. Too many children, especially girls, drop out of school due to poverty, early marriage, or lack of basic supplies.

What We Do:
• Provide scholarships and school supplies (uniforms, books, bags, solar study lights).
• Offer mentorship and guidance to help girls stay in school.
• Donate school furniture to create safe, supportive learning spaces.
• Engage parents and communities in conversations about the value of girls’ education.

2024 Highlight: With support from partners, we helped 48 girls in Kono District attend school for the 2024/2025 academic year.

PUBLIC HEALTH💙

A healthy child is a learning child. Many girls in Sierra Leone miss school due to poor health, lack of menstrual hygiene support, or limited sanitation facilities.

What We Do:
• Train schoolgirls and communities on menstrual hygiene, nutrition, adolescent health, and disease prevention.
• Organize health awareness sessions for parents to challenge harmful practices, including early marriage.
• Build and upgrade school toilets, especially for girls, so they can attend school with dignity.

Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)💙

Clean water and proper sanitation are essential for health, dignity, and education.

What We Do:
• Construct and repair wells and hand pumps for schools and communities.
• Install girl-friendly toilets to reduce absenteeism during menstruation.
• Promote good hygiene practices among children and families.
2024 Highlight: We are preparing to renovate the broken hand pump at K.D.E.C. Primary School, giving students and teachers reliable access to safe water.

Why Girls’ Education Matters

When a girl goes to school, her entire community benefits. She is more likely to earn a better income, delay marriage, protect her health, and raise educated children. Education breaks cycles of poverty and creates lasting change.
